This video was produced to accompany the 1996 naval comedy "Down Periscope". The film and the video were filmed aboard the USS Pampanito (SS-383/AGSS-383), a Balao-Class sub that is now a part of the San Francisco Maritime Museum. Note in the video a brief shot of Harry Dean Stanton, who played the Chief Engineer in the movie...

Always enjoy seeing Buddy Rich drumming...
 Another drummer who, IMHO, was of the same level as Buddy is Keith Moon. He was, like Buddy, just a natural drummer and less of the standard 'timekeeper' drummer than an artist who elevated the drums to almost the level of a lead instrument: Keith Moon has been rumored to have been an inspiration for The Muppet's Animal character. Found these two very interesting clips of The Who, first as The High Numbers and then a bit later as The Who: As an added bonus, for a limited time only (can't help it: short attention span, and all), The Faces back when Rock & Roll was fun and not a corporate enterprise: <O>
