The SUBSIM Music Thread
As a result of the recent loss of The Music Thread and two excellent suggestions from forum members Aktungbby and Dowly for a suitable replacement I have proposed a compromise to Aktungbby regarding a thread title which also incorporates the suggestion for a new thread title from Dowly.
I have locked the Aktungbby thread so allowing him and Dowly to repost their music choices in this thread. Should there be no complaints over the next day or so I will delete the locked thread and this thread will be the new home for music choices. I've also stickied this thread to give it a chance to propagate. Over to Aktungbby and Dowly. |
But I get in first...

I'm looking forward to Jeff Lynne's ELO upcoming album
"alone in the Universe" This group was my main favorite group during my youth. Markus |
Odd thing about this tune is. It appears as it does in this music video to be mostly associated with the military and explosions. Me, I always associated this particular tune with strippers. :yep:

Anyway, now you can associate the song with something else: Rednecks! :03: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4Ao-iNPPUc |
Was not aware the music thread went away... :hmmm:
Been listening through the Red Hot Chili Peppers' discography lately. One of my all time favorites for sure. Also, Jack White, Everlast and Weezer. Discovered a new one, however. A friend of mine actually knows this band. He introduced me to their music and I'm loving it. Band- The Steeldrivers Song- If It Hadn't Been For Love |

I'll start off with a song from a group that has legendary status in my area of the UK and what is an aptly named tune.

Right now I'm listening to Claudio Monteverdi's Il Settimo Libro de' Madrigali a 5 (Seventh Book of Madrigals in 5 parts), published in 1619.
