Ever think about putting your models in dioramas? There are some excellent simulated water products on the hobby market these days.

I had a little accident.
I drilled a bit too deep and the pen I put in there was too short and I could nto get it out again. As I tried to get it out I destroyed the rudder. I ordered a new one but it will take about 13 weeks to arive. So, the question is, what to do now, I got a Los Angeles FLight 1 unit and a Victor III to pick from. |

I started working on the Riich Models 688.
The deatisl are good and they got some interessting solutions on the rudders. I am thinking if I should make the rudders moveable since the dive planes in the stern are. But this kit requires a lot of filler and sanding. ![]() ![]() Also, the air is so humid that the primer is still a bit sticky after 3 days. |

I sure will post them here!
I've been struck by a touch of creativity and solved the rudder problem: ![]() Since the hull parts were allready glued together and sealed by filler, I had to improvise. ![]() This is the result. ![]() And finished. I drilled through the rudder assembly from one side with a long drill and managed to keep the path straight and so I could insert the rod and keep it movable. I attached one of the rudders to the rod before I inserted it and as the edge stuck out at the other side I glued the other rudder in place with super glue. I am tempted to try that with the fairwater planes but my drillings would have to be even more precise. |
