Default [RANT] Problems Playing SH5

first time sh5, I'm a bit late to the party but I still must say it, I've *rarely* seen such huge turds from supposedly first class producers, and this one really ranks high in the list

countless hours of wrestling with uplay and not to mention looking to forums for stuff as basic as knowing how to start the patrol

I got as far as installing Wolves, but still, the retarded UI is more than I can take.
no mod can repair this travesty.

5 euro on g2a. should have bought some icecream instead!!!

Welcome aboard.

I'm sorry for your disappointment, especially when many users not only enjoy but love SH5. I'm not one of them, just so you know.

I will refer you to Subsim's policy regarding language.

zapardus you are not the only one who have been thinking why can't the game makers do it correctly

Many game is not working as it should and thank God we have something called modders

They are doing a great job, making a game working better a.s.o

I like SH5 even though I had some start problems, but they were mostly my own problems.

Wrong forums mate...Here, knock your self out... http://forums.ubi.com/forumdisplay.php/51-General?

Regarding rest of your post and since you haven't even been capable to try modded and fixed game, any comment is unnecessary . A classic example of empty talk of a frustrated and incompetent SH5 noob...

Cheers...

Affirmative on being a [frustrated] n00b.. but I've been playing Sh3-4 since prehistory so..

Started sh5 with TWoS because I know I would have eaten my mouse on the spot if I only dared playing vanilla.
Hours passed plowing through nonsensical design.

Still cant find a keybinding for jumping to stations, which I deem a fairly essential UI feature, buried inside multilevel autohiding tiny icon trees.
Cannot even find how to keep the external visual on because the options reset on their own accord without any warning.

And why they removed the usual hydro-wheel mouse control, which was perfect, putting 2 keys instead which I'll have to press until arthritis ??
Overall the UI style is so awkward, hardly anything can be figured out without resorting to forum posts, I'm just citing the latest woes that came to mind.

I expected the usual bugs and dumbdowns, but at the bare minimum I need a practical UI worth of a naval strategy/sim type game.
But this reeks of a first person shooter with hints of awful smartphone-style controls.

And in the end where is the graphics advance? I wonder if it even looks any better than modded sh4 tbh.

Well modded SH5 also features classic SH3 and SH4 UI styles too (my preferred also) but that is all which I'll say because your opening post doesn't deserve any further help tbh...And it would be futile too, because I have learned so far that some people just can't "get it" , no mater what...

I'm out of here anyway...Nothing constructive wont be seen here ...

That's not the point Jim, but thanks anyway...

The thread should be deleted altogether , unless you see some hidden value in it...I'm really wondering what could that be.

I'll discuss with Steve seeing as he responded earlier and didn't feel the need.

True that...This is only dirty SH5 part of the forum after all.

Okay, thread locked (Steve not yet on Skype to discuss the matter with).

One of three things should happen soon....

1: Thread will be left locked to wither on the vine.
2: Thread will be reopened.
3: Thread will be deleted (Steve and I may decide to leave third choice to Neal).

...and zapardus, maybe you are in the wrong forum. You've been a member here 3 years and you never noticed we don't conduct ourselves like that?
