Contribution/donations are not a forever thing for the smaller ones (not sure about the larger contributions) but a $5.00 donation for six months access to the download increase is really a small price to pay but it only last 6 months then you have to renew it, presumably with another small $5.00 donation if you so choose. I'd much rather pay a periodic donation than put up with obnoxious popup advertisements that are a source of malware on other sites.
