Thank you for the links.

And DAMN the 2015 LSH3 mega mod might seem like even a better choice than GWX3

Yes sorry, I meant SUB games. How many of sub games have you played?? I have played alot of Das Boot (1990), a bit of Silent Hunter, alot of Silent Hunter 2, a bit of Silent Hunter 3, a bit if ACOTD, and a bit of 688i H/K, and I am about to play Sub Command, but its just that I am still undecided on which of these sub games I should stick with lol. Graphics are also not my main concern. I prefer realism as long as its not too heavy and the manual is not 3cm thick etc. So maybe you also played these games and you decided to stick with SH3?

Nope, totally the other way around. SH4 was a two hour episode and thus SH3 is the first game I am getting in.

Welcome aboard Alfapiomega.

As for you question on Learning Curve, I'd say run a few the single missions with the different U-boats offered. It's on good way to get the feel of how the subs handle out on the high seas and with the enemy ships you will possibly encounter. It'll give you a good feel on firing torpedoes in combat and under pressure...... more so IMHO than the Naval Academy does. That goes for both manual and the "automatic" firing of torpedoes. They'll also help you in getting away from the Escorts that will hunt you down.

Good luck and sink em all!

Thank you, Gary.

OK, that sounds reasonable. I didn't have much time to play yesterday but I got through the flak cannon training video/description/exercise So I am basically one step away from trying the game itself

OK, I have several more questions if I may. I would be very grateful if you guys helped me with these as well!

I have read a lot in the past 20 hours and decided that the best mod for me would probably be LSH2015. So I decided I will delete and reinstall the game with the new mod. This however brings me to following question:

a) Patches
- In the thread about LSH2015 I found a few patches. Is the version available from their page (lsh3.com) fully patched? I think it is so but I'd rather ask

b) Additional mods
The LSH2015 seems to have it's own version of SC3. Is that the mod everyone mentions here or do I have to install another one?

c) There is about million micro mods mentioned everywhere. Can anyone who plays LSH2015 tell me if I should look into any of those? I can't for the love of god figure out what is compatible with what... ><

Sorry for all the questions but I am just trying to figure this out before I dive deep into the game. I'd hate to play the game and figure out halfway through that there was some super thing I was missing this entire time...

Thank you in advance!
