I know there has been some work on human-controlled S-boote in the game. Has any of you heard of similar work on the game destroyers..., i.e. destroyer-launched torpedos? Would that not be useful for this mod?

After searching some Chinese SH3-4-5 fan sites, here is the fix to the problem of failing to load a saved game for Chinese U47's Warship Mod. The problem may be the torpedo tubes configuration within Basic.cfg. The two downloadable fixes were made by someones at Chinese U47's workshop site several years ago.

For Warship Mod 3.0 for stock SH3 1.4b, simply download fix from this site (click on (33kb) button on upper right)& replace the old Basic.cfg.

For Warship Mod 2.0 (for stock SH3), you'll have to do some editing yourself. The Basic.cfg contains torpedo tubes parameters such as this:

Do the same for EVERY U boat type and for EVERY year, but make sure you don't touch Z0/S0/A0 parameters, and if Nbyear differs, keep the mod's version and just manually add tube parameters to those extra years (1939-1941, for example for VIIC/41).
Good/bad thing is: commerce raider/auxilliary cruiser now has torpedo launchers just like it did historically, but so do all other ships.
But at least now you can save and reload in the middle of a patrol. Hope this helps.

Replace the basic.cfg in the mod(s). It's the mod's basic.cfg that's causing the problem.

I've run into the same problem of being unable to save with these ships. Could someone kindly repost the fixes given in this post? Or at least just the one for the GWX 3.0 version? They are no longer available at the links given. If thats not possible, could someone guide me how to fix it manually? Or does the method given here work for WSM 3.0 for GWX 3.0 as well?
