Indeed mate and made all the more distastefull, when you think we are handing out aid to a country that has its own space and nuclear programmes.

Just buy them off with concessions for glitzy casinos, tax-free cheap cigarettes, fireworks and gas.

Oh wait. I'm thinking of our Indians.

They should pay them with Greek bonds.

I mean hey, I think the point that "India was governed for the benefit of Britain" is pretty inarguable. Where I think one problem is... whose benefit is it governed for now?

I'm not really sure how giving a bunch of money to what's often rightly seen as a corrupt bureaucracy is going to actually solve the injustice.

Well now, if we could all go to jail in India if they're not paid their colonial reparations, I'd also reconsider my stance

Hey a casino is a pretty good deal for a tribe. They make tons of dough operating one.

Doesn't help the surrounding tribes much though. In fact tribes with a casino have used their money to block other tribes from getting a casino of their own.

Well, historically giving large sums of money to extortionists in Nehru collars has been a bad idea. If I were Britain, I'd keep calm and carry a Walther PPK.

I'm demanding reparations for every time I got Apu on a support call when he clearly couldn't understand/talk English!
