No real surprise, he didn't give the BBC much choice but what I find more interesting is the fact May has also resigned yet Hammonds comments commit him either way.

I think any single presenter will struggle, and the best way for Top Gear to stay alive is with weekly guest presenters a la Have I Got News For You. Not ideal, but gives a wide range of people for the viewer to warm to or not.

May did say on SKY News "we're a package" dose seem to suggest....we shall see.
