Good note.
On that "note", I like the wakeless torpedo but it is, in my experience, and as stated by many others, slower. If I am up close, as I usually am, torpedo speed is typically not as much an issue as surprise. That changes, however, when I find myself having to fight escorts. |

I carry both G7a and G7e, with auto torpedo loading disabled.
I have 2 x a in tubes 1 and 2 and 2 x e in tubes 3 and 4 plus an equal number of back ups. I also have a and e for the stern tube Although the G7e is slower and has less range in daylight at close range it can have an advantage over the G7a.
