He's not the only one. Personally i try not to be vocal about it until the need arises, but am not always successful about remaining quiet about topics I am passionate about.
Well I like my firearms as well I'm just not that vocal about it (not the political part) here.

Well, to be fair steelhead, according to the media, you do have more then your fair share of whackjobs in Florida. For what it's worth, i think the guy that decided to be confrontational was in the wrong in instant he decided to be confrontational while carrying. (Or was it he left the theater to go get his gun?) Retired LEO wasn't he? My pet theory is I think he forgot he wasn't wearing a badge anymore.
I think the former LEO "respect my authorita"(Think Cartman from South Park) mentality might have had something to do with it...or maybe his un-caged bear jumped out he window while he was driving to the theater and losing his bear made him onry.

Oh I agree, but id extend that to any habitation that is at sea level in hurricane alley.
Well the whole state is not at or below sea level a good portion of the state is at 20 feet or higher above sea level once you get more inland it starts averaging 50-55 feet above sea-level.The highest point in the state is 345ft above sea level.

I find it interesting that I had a fairly difficult time finding a map that showed the actual topographic of Florida but I found plenty of "what if" maps showing the sea-level due to the oceans raising of which i am sure that most are highly accurate.....

I find it rather interesting that New York and New Jersey had so much damage from what was no longer a hurricane by comparison some part of Florida gets hit by a tropical storm every single year yet it causes a substantially lower amount of damage.

I'd be surprised if it kills off all humans though we tend to cling I think it would take a series of mega disasters to kill us off completely.

Anyway I'd just like to say Florida has a new campaign.

"Florida the state where your bear can ride un-caged in true freedom."

"Florida the state that keeps on giving; someday your property might be beach front(we'll raise your property taxes when it happens)."

None of those dumb laws are enforced anyway.

Now shooting people...you CAN do that anywhere...just punishment can maybe be different.

Yeah but the point is the law is on the books up in Missouri and that is enough to prove that Missouri wishes to trample upon the rights of bears everywhere.
Maybe the law is not enforced because bears are riding in vehicles disguised as humans and no cop has noticed yet.

"why no sir that is not an un-caged bear inside my vehicle that is my cousin Billy he's just special."

Soon Missouri will require bear-dent-ification cards you wait and see.

On a slightly geographical side note, I don't think Yellowstone would 'kill everything', except within about a 100-150 mile radius of the eruption, but it would certainly completely screw most of North America, and likely a fair bit of Western Europe. It would not be a pleasant time, and the countries south of the equator would make a killing from it (the Mexican border would switch polarities overnight) but humanity would survive, America would survive. It would be a big set back, and there would be thousands, if not millions of deaths (mostly from the ash) but things would continue.
Good description of the likely effects here: http://io9.com/what-will-really-happ...as-a-508274690

Not if you are a bear on the friend of an un-caged bear.

Not trying to get at you I'm just pointing out that Missouri tramples on the rights of bears.I think I'll order some XXXL "Don't tread on me shirts" and send them to Missouri bears.

Next time I drive through Missouri I am going to think of all the bears who can not ride freely in a vehicle un-caged.

Think about it if you buy a Klondike bar and get pulled over or the cop sees you eating a Klondike bar well he has you because there is an un-caged polar bear on the label.

So what if Florida has taco thieves and rednecks that wear Hurley hats? At least we have real bear freedom.

We actually don't have very many bears.

If you see a bear in Missouri, you are very very very lucky. They're mainly in South Central Missouri...even then, there's not a whole lot. They're trying to bring them back though.

No wonder, with your discriminatory bear laws. No wonder the bears are leavin'.
