Default So how about that Super Bowl?

That really was a nailbiter there.

Was not really a fan of either team but I was kinda pulling for the Broncos.

I was hoping to see the broncos win.

I'm surprised they performed as poorly as they did.

From the miscommunication on the first snap, the Broncos had NO rhythm, they were off balance and off pace for the entire game and never found their groove. There's no reason it should have been such a wide game as far as the score goes.

Simply put; you had the two best teams on the field... And Seattle played harder, tougher and clearly wanted it more than Denver.

Of note is Mannings age, he is only a few years my senior and he's by no means old... But it's all relative, for an active, starting NFL quarterback he is ancient, what? 16 years in the NFL? That arm is probably not what it used to be after 16+ years of flinging the ball down range.

Notice that most of his passes were screen passes or short, over the middle 5-6 yard pitches.

Only a few were deep strikes completely devoid of accuracy.

It may be time for manning to put his NFL days behind him if you ask me.

In a situation where your team is not in the big game it's easy to be happy for the winner. And I am.

Seattle clearly deserves the win. They played a great game, even if it was one sided

I really hoped we'd see a clash of the titans but it was essentially a shut out.

Denvers game could only have gone better if it had employed the tactics from the Sum of All Fears and nuked the stadium.

DAMN IT!

I first told all my friends to put all their money on the Cardinals to win the World Series, than I told the same friends to put all their money on the Broncos to win the Super Bowl.

I still can't believe that the Broncos' offense would collapse like that. Their performance during the regular season is historic, a WHOLE 3 STANDARD DEVIATIONS ABOVE LEAGUE AVERAGE!

What the hell? Did Manning drink too much last night?

As a math and stats, last night I pegged Denver's winning chances at 62% +- 4%, I never expected a blow out.....

We could ask Raptor1 if he lost any nuclear devices in the sand.

Never....ever....EVER! Underestimate the ability to screw up.

I know that, being a Cardinal fan through the tough times between 2007 and 2010.

There is seldom a real underdog when it comes down to a final and whilst not understanding the rules very much, I thought the better team on the day won.

I knew that American Football is not really a healthy sports, but that the serious injuries and traumata as well as the suicide rates due to brain degeneration processes is THAT high, I did not know. At a professional level at least, a good amount of reality denial seems to be part of the deal.

In German, sorry.

Add to that the immense weight and fat problem of certain player groups. That will take revenge on their bodies after their careers as well.

It seems to me it is a player processing industry.

Old No. 7 drank too much old No. 7?

The Broncos might have faired better if they had put Tebow at the helm.
Instead, Timmy was stumping for... something. I don't remember what.
Or maybe some of Broadway Joe's bad luck rubbed off on the Broncos when they lost the coin toss and created history with the fastest scoring drive... for the opposing team. Time out-->Denver.

The only positive highlight was Flea coming out shirtless. He should of borrowed Joe's Raccoon coat. But, I hear that some PETA member doused it with blood. Not really. Would of been cool though.

I can sum up this years hyped up spectacle with one word...
Boring! Even the commercials sucked.

Yeah, this was a groaner. Manning has cemented his reputation as a great regular season player and a big game choker. Very sad.

I did enjoy the Tebow commercials, I hope that lad gets a team next year.

So does Tim Tebow. Unless Hollywood finds a spot for him...
A frying pan to flash him in.

I can't read German, so I only have what you wrote to respond. I have been working also in sports medicine for the past 13 years. From what you wrote, it seems the article may be exaggerating reality. Right now there is no proven link between concussions and suicide. It is suspected and is currently being studied. That is all we know right now. Although there is a small number of NFL players that are too fat, there is not necessarily an overweight problem. As far as your opinion of "not a healthy sport." I will agree that serious injuries are greater than in other sports. I do disagree that it is "unhealthy."
