Are you introducing emotions into the argument?

CNN has been short stroking this story all day. It's like their wet dream come true. Shooting, murder, cop, theater. All great keywords for great ratings
Since Fox has been running it too what is their agenda?
What is their wet dream?
Emotions again

Now wouldn't it be funny if this cinema chain had a "no guns in the auditorium" policy.

Edit to add, it's OK now, CNN and Fox are both running on the latest school shooting instead.
I wonder what their agenda and keywords will be today?

It won't be "stop shooting one another" that would dry up thier dreams.

The only thing that will stop a bad guy with popcorn is a bad guy with a gun

I don't hate the police in the US.. I fear them.

As a law abiding citizen, I should not fear my own police force, but to be honest I am very nervous when I am around police officers... especially because I am not breaking the law.

There are just too many stories in the local news about the abuse of police power and the lack of accountability.. all in the name of "public safety".

If you have to infringe on the rights of innocent citizens to "keep the public safe" you are doing it wrong.

The average American breaks at least three laws a day without knowing it. There’s a pretty good chance that if the government chose to target you for breaking the law, they’d be able to come up with something without much effort.

I don't trust police. I don't talk to them and will not talk to them without a lawyer. They're not your friend, they're not there to protect you. They're there to arrest people and uphold the law - read: "justify their job.". If protecting you is a nice side effect, so be it. But the "protect and serve" thing is a joke.

You should do what we do, give them so much paperwork that they can't do anything.

Maybe it's been mentioned, but saw this case on the news this morning. Simply amazing. The man lives in DC, but hunts in Va. They did an illegal search of his house and found live ammo only, but judge threw it out because they didn't have a warrant. They later came back with warrant, SWAT team raided the house, handcuffed him and his girlfriend and tossed the house until they found a non working shotgun shell. He was arrested and faces 1 year and has had eight hearings...

DC, what a craphole of illegal serious gun crime and this..

Now that is worrying...hopefully a sensible conclusion will eventually result.

So his ex was right, he was breaking the law.
Luckily for him the police screwed up.

Important lesson there, beware the ex, she knows what you do

The police have been around to my house (for things that I've done and quite frankly am ashamed of), and they were really understanding, perhaps the most understanding people I've met. Perhaps you should move over to Australia

I guess he was if you live in a state of district that doesn't even allow ammo.
It's not like legal honest people have any need to defend themselves in DC as the gun laws are really working there.

But he doesn't live in a state which doesn't allow live ammo.
The funny thing about the story is that the gun he kept in the house doesn't require registration, but you cannot keep ammunition in the house unless you tell them you keep a gun there.
If he hadn't tried to skirt the law by keeping his other guns out of State then his ex couldn't have dropped him in it.

Gene pool is closed for cleaning...

What can you possibly say to that ?

Except, yet another irresponsible gun owner hoisted by their own pitard.

It takes a real mental heavyweight to be packing with the gun loaded, cocked and the safety off.

Was the Woman's name Lois Griffin and the child Stewie?
