I recently started using this program again, because I had always liked it. Should I generate a new report and map with every game save or just once during a patrol? Twice now i tried generating a new report and map on the 2nd game save which resulted in a ctd. So I'm wondering if the program might be corrupted or if it can be used only once during a patrol?

You should have a different MOD folder for each installation eg: SH3, GWX.

SH3Gen reads information out of your savegames. And if the settings allow, can insert markers of probable Intel-locactions into the savegamename.map file. So, yeah, it would be prudent to generate a new report if you want that. But the game may need to be closed down before you do because of file-acces limitations (allready opened .map file) |

I discovered recently that a mod I had installed at just about the same time was causing the problem, the Depth Charge Water Disturbance Mod, not SH3Gen. It would cause a ctd when loading a game save, without using SH3Gen. Since uninstalling that mod the ctds have stopped and SH3Gen functions as originally intended without problem, although I haven't tried using it a second time on the same patrol "yet." Before returning to base, that is. Next time out from port I'll probably try doing that.
