What would be really ironic is if one of the DUIs wasn't covered on his girlfriends car insurance.

You brought up the subject of laws and respect for the law. As a law student, you should know a witness has to be careful of what he expresses since any statement can open the door for opposing counsel to take that breach and widen it in order to prove their case. You have provided the basis for the other posters to refute your claims and point out your hypocrisies.
