I'll tell you what made me laugh though: The security guard who wanted to see Sidney Newman's pass? That was William Russell - original companion Ian Chesterton.

And you have to admit, Hartnell's flubbed line in the Edge of Destruction scene was just about the funniest thing I've ever seen in Doctor Who.

Don't get wise on me Steve, but if you want that kind of courtliness, yes, the old 10th, new 11th! But in my defence, at the time of the book, Tennant was the 10th!

About the Hartnell lines, I once read that, do to his forgetfulness of the lines, they did have the text on holders, suspend above the set, the reason (or one of ) that he normally was looking up when acting. But the special they didn't show that.
I love how he was a precision person, that he need to know what the buttons/switchs do and use always the same for the same action. "The kids would know!" and how he activated the TARDIS, after the new production team come up!

I'm just glad you got the joke. I was half afraid you'd be thinking "What in the world is he talking about?"

I loved those bits too. One of the running bits I liked was the presentation of the actors to the press each year. It also annoyed me a bit when they did the one for Season 4, with Hartnell, Anneke Wills and Michael Craze. The actor portraying Craze towers over the other two, when in fact he was famously quite short. Watch any of those episodes and you'll see that the top of Ben's head is about on a level with Polly's eyes.

Of course I got the joke, but for a few time, people will still refer to Ecclestone, Tennant and Smith as the 9th, 10 and 11th!

Well, I only notice the mini skirt, legs and face of the actress, not the size of the male actor...!

My reaction to that bit was: 'No no no no no no no no!'

Later, I realised that he looked like the XO from [I]Das Boot[/I.

Story was a bit slow but good and it was great to see Tom Baker right near the end.

Info on Xmas.
