I remember her from back in the original "Bob Newhart" series days; she was always a delight to watch as she played Carol the receptionist. RIP, Marcia, and thanks for bringing laughter to our world...

The Simpsons producers have announced the retirement of the character in Marcia's honor.

I still laugh at the episodes they pieced together with Chef's dialogue during the contract negotiations with Isaac Hayes.
