@gap:

The above file was already edited .. I just compared the two files, the one I added some zones to VS the one in RSD .. they are identical except for a few points:

- RSD's zones.cfg uses higher values for the critical floatation.
Original is 0.1 RSD is 0.300000

- RSD's zones.cfg has a couple of 'father=##' lines outcommented or with different values

- Values in uboat equipment in his file are higher, more stuff destructible, etc.

Other then that, they do not differ one bit. It seems to me that the revised zones.cfg we where talking about here, is not needed as it's already present in RSD ... or I'm making a wonderfull error again.

my bad... I thought that vdr1981 had introduced new zone definitions, instead of altering the settings of yet existing zones, but I was obviously wrong

This complicates a bit our task, because we need to compare file settings one by one. Doing it by eye is almost impossible, but using a file merging tool, as WinMerge, makes the job much easier. Did you use anyhing like that? Are you sure that you have updated al the R.S.D. settings in the new file?

I am trying to track down the problem you have had at Memel

I don't understand what is the problem. Do you use use zone definitions from U-boat sections for some unplayable ships? I changed only settings in that category...

It DID miss a few things, but other then those missing entries created by RSD, the files are identical except for values used. Example:

Generic Patcher one:

Quote:
[NFlotEmpty]
Multiplier=1.0
Flotability=18.0
HitPoints=100
Destructible=No
Armor Level=-1
Critic Flotation=0.01
Critical=No
FloodingTime=1800
CargoType=None
Crash Depth=15
RSD one

Quote:
[NFlotEmpty]
Multiplier=1.0
Flotability=18.0
HitPoints=100
Destructible=No
Armor Level=-1
Critic Flotation=0.36
Critical=No
FloodingTime=1800
CargoType=None
Crash Depth=15
I used filecompare from notepad++

There is no issue vdr there was talk about another mod needed which can be found in the mods shiped with generic patcher. It conflicts with several other mods that change zone.cfg
After mild investigation by yours truly, the files seem to be identical, except for values used, and your additions to the file. This caused some confusion, thats all.

@memel harbor issue: I think the issue I had there is that RSD chages a lot of 'father' values or outcomments them, where the one I was edditing, doesnt have those changes.
