Default G. H. W. Bush Suppoting 2-year old Cancer Patient

GHWB often takes the blunt end for his one term trying to continue and bolster the wreckage that was Reganomics, but, in the years since leaving office, he has shown more compassion and humanity than a lot of other former presidents (his son included) have shown. A salute to a good man making a good gesture:

I believe his son still sports the fight against AIDS in Africa.

Both Bushes take a lot of heat, and a lot of it is deserved. However, outside of the professional sphere, they are both first-rate human beings.

My bad; forgot about this. I have heard and seen more about his efforts to start a "think tank" (!) recently than any other activities. Even Obama praised his efforts in Africa. Still, GHWB has been far more active and outspoken about humanitarian causes than Dubbya. I have a great deal of respect for GHWB and the human side of his life...

W-ya has always been out of the limelight when at his ranch. I think he will grow restless and emerge in assistance with world affairs. Jimmy Carter has been quite active with Habitat for Humanity.

Yes sir. Father and son were real fine fellows in the picture I saw of them fishing for stripers while floating in their boat above the flooded streets of New Orleans after Katrina. I dunno, maybe they were catching dinner for all those poor souls trapped in the Superdome.

I have not much love for the senior shrub after his less than stellar advice during his term as dear leader.
Claim all of your deductions on your W-4 during the tax year and you can keep more of your money during the year he said... Reading between the lines...
Until Tax time! Then you have to pay through the nose!
What a rich privileged *******! Just another Skull & Bones man infiltrated into the seats of power where he should not have been. Head of the CIA for awhile and then president. Maybe he's only helping little Timmy to ease his conscience. That or he's bored and it gets him away from the ol' battle ax.

Carter certainly leads the field when it comes to using whatever clout being a former president allows in the aid of humanitarian and charitable causes. Still don't think he was much of a president. He was basically a good, decent, honorable man who, by virtue of being good, decent, and honorable, was ill equipped to survive the shark tank of Washington politics...

GHWB has allied himself with the many causes and efforts of Clinton in an example of where decency trumps politics. Any man who puts humanity first deserves respect...

Incidentally, do you know what Reagan's first major undertaking was as an ex-president? He went to Japan to give a speech touting the virtues and glories of Japanese indiustry and technology. He got paid a million dollars for the speech and pocketed another estimated one million in "honorariums" from Japanese corporations. So much for "Buy American" and supporting the American worker...

I've always liked the Bush presidents.

Everybody screws up...but the whole "Blame Bush" thing just isn't right.

It wasn't all him...apparently nobody wants to blame congress.

---

Anyway, I think it's great that the Bush family is helping out and doing these things. More power to them.

According to Barack Obama, he's going to build his Presidential Library next to Bush's (he also said he would've preferred to have it where he was born, but it had to be in America), and his Library will be called the 'Blame Bush Library'. Obama even presented the plans for the library, showing a giant hand pointing to Bush's Library saying 'He did it'.

I've actually tried twice and it doesn't appear to be working but I have faith in Neal backing his moderation team.
