Maybe the president's escorts were low on fuel or sumthin. Which could have been the case because my co-worker and I were run off a tarmac because Air Force One was coming in for some service.
Not all hot shot Zoomies fly fighter jets.
I know...I'd really like to fly the Hog....but I'll take whatever I get.

This is why I'm still deciding which branch. AF seems most appealing to me...but if I get offered a slot to fly Apaches in the Army.....I'll do that too.

Now flying a KC135....it ain't glorious...it ain't fast....but it's important and I'd do it. Somebody has to....and if I get to fly, I'm happy.

One would think that they'd have code in place to flag a discrepancy that large.
yeah, say any time there are more than 10 refunds with the same address, flag it for human review.

How hard can it be?

But then we can't come up with a computer system that can match dead bodies with holes in the ground at Arlington.

I have one dead guy
I have one hole in the ground

Put dead guy in hole and record which hole the dead guy is in

Crikey, I can do that with a double entry index card system

And no. Unfortunately, you are wrong. With computer systems it is garbage in gospel out.

If it came out of an expensive computer, it must be accurate.

Creative arithmetic algorithms?

As a degreed electron tech. I must beg to differ. Bad code in(garbage) bad results out ( more garbage)

A simple check address comparator line of code would take care of it. Maybe they need the NSA grade hardware.
Though the article didn't mention it, those refunds might have also been issued to the same SSN. Of course, the IRS wouldn't confess to that kind of slip up. Ever!

From this stuff up, I'd say that step would be unnecessary Jim. All you need is someone else's SSN and an address for them to post the cheques to.

Cool, just send me your bank account and credit card details and I'll sort it our for you. And if you could just sign this power of attorney over your estate...
