Some of it also funds Channel 4.
You have to pay much more for cable or satellite TV, but the BBC is the highest quality broadcaster and the greatest bit is no adverts. I never ever watch adverts on telly, it's usually BBC I watch or if it's some other channel it gets recorded and they get skipped.
