Okay. We take them for breakfast, or a small snack in-between. Tankers for lunch, and then the merchants for dinner.

You guys did remember to design long range subs this time, right?

Fleet of six? No wonder you guys can afford to keep bailing out those slacker euro welfare states.

The 212-class is long-range
It has a range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km, or 9,196 miles).
3 weeks without snorkelling, 12 weeks overall.
More than capable to reach New York (for example). Distance from Berlin to New York is 3978 miles or 3457 nautical mile.
Plenty of juice to make it there and back.

Is crossing the Atlantic in 2 weeks while all the time being submerged long range enough for you? As demonstrated by a 212 in April this year. Mind you, its no nuclear boat.

If saving the fuel cells and also sailing surfaced, range and operation time is so much longer.
