Ok, that's it!
It's an AA problem, cause desabling it, i get a nice sun!
Now, have to find a good enough AA that doesn't mess my sun...

So each time i enable any AA via inspector, i loose the nice sun
Even the lowest X2...
I tried every single AA provided by inspector (even FXAA) without good result
Not to say i get crappy jaggy lines everywhere, and sea horizon is aweful!
So back to AAX32, and unrealistic daylight sun...

Yeah, you would think that this stuff has been around long enough, so we wouldn't have to custom engineer our machines.

When I have ISE3 enabled I get fog hell ... Using it is great for getting in close and manually using my deck gun to sink ... even escorts without getting hurt but it is such a constant fog and it tool the fun out of actually finding a nice day in the world LOL

I just came here to rant about this! Constant fog everywhere 24/7 for days!
AND if it is not foggy than it is very bad weather with heavy rain!
Is there a way to tweak this?

P.S. I'm playing with manual targeting and I was wondering is there a way to make a torpedo solution without locking on target and finding it in recognition manual? Just input data and fire?Because in this "light fog" as the navigator says I can't see a ship even if it is just 300 yards away.

And yes there are many videos available for manual targeting using Sonar Only and Radar only, Rockin Robbins has links to them, I will see if I can find them.

EDIT:

Here it is

I've been on a career patrol for 3 months and have not seen any fog yet. We had a bad storm in late December 41 that lasted 4-5 days...normal.
So far my mods with ISE v3 are not having any issue with fog.

Was looking into the fog issue and have been unable to produce it with consistent results, could be a random occurence depending on what mods you are using and not an inherent issue within ISE.

I see that people are using the mods in unique ways to get really interesting effects and that's great. Originally I desinged the mod for SH4 1.5 but not supporting the TMO and RFB communities would be a huge mistake so i'm interested in fixing this if I can conclusively identify the factors involved. Screenshots and mod lists would be appreciated.

Main problem with any ISE version fog, is that i couldn't lock target even at 600m even seeing it from very further...
Was using TMO 2.5 only (+ ISE of course)

Are you using the Improved Stock Environment - TMO/RFB?
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=3589

This is the only the file that can be used with TMO unless you tweak some of the settings in v3 to make it work. Also, you will not get fog problems with the TMO/RFB version, because it does not change the fog settings. ISE Realistic Colors can be used with TMO and such.

Improved Stock Environment v3 should only be used with Stock SH4 1.5.

This could be why I cannot find any issues with fog in my current set of mods. You can see in my signature the mods and the order I load them. In my recent campaign, finally came across a bad storm with heavy fog on April 21, 1942. It only lasted one day. No issue.

Sounds like the "fog problem" was a false alarm Caustic. Thanks for your attention. Really enjoying your mods. Great work!

Fifi, Armistead told me to keep an eye on you. Now I know why.

Well, that's good news everyone is having good sailing weather. Please keep me updated on any problems you find and I will do my best to address them in Improved Stock Environment v4.
