I really do not see item a as being needed the fact that a person is a

would make a single item list.

Things to bring with you to politician's speech.

A:

On the flight line in the Air Force we had to wear both plugs and phones around jet engines. That same combination would also be effective against a politician.

B:Find any reason not to be where the politician plans to be.

Yubba is probably the most interesting person on Subsim at the moment.
Every post a riddle. Fascinating.

I can't stand Star Trek.

(Ok, I'm currently watching the first 3 seasons of the show, and it's quite 'OK'. But the movies are poopy)

What cast? The originals? Next Generation? I enjoyed the originals but I liked The Next Generations better.

Couldn't stand the original -- Shatner seems to have studied at the HoneyBaked school of acting; he ate so much scenery, it's a miracle he didn't die of indigestion. I like the later TV series and I am particularly fond of Deep Space Nine...

I agree. Shatner had a lot to be desired. He only looked good because he was surrounded by good actors.

I thought they all were pretty mediocre. Certainly not top 5 scifi material as most
lists rank Wrath of Khan. So, very, illogical all of the movies.

The original, Shatner and them. The little I think of ST, I prefer Shatner. Sir Patrick Stewart just isnt IMHO a very good actor. Tho, the Generations cast does have Ryker and the chick he marries.. but then again, the old cast
has Uhura.

Wait.. am I really debating about Star Trek? Goddammit!

Babylon 5! Babylon 5! Babylon 5!

And he used make-up.

One very good thing about the old episodes is that I can look at Spock and not laugh my butt off at his ridiculous looks.

Truer word ne'er spoken; she was the only reason to watch the original. My god, those legs...

I was a bit shocked to see how short the skirts were.

This is the reason to watch The Next Generation:

Marina Sirtis:

Confirming that Star Trek is the second stupidest thing that I have ever seen.

Gene Roddenberry was well-known in Hollywood as an admirer of the female form, in particular, their legs. When the original series was concieved, he made a point of making the feamle uniforms particularly fetching...

Oddly, when The Next Generation was launched, short, leg revealing skirts were in the first one or two episodes and then later scrapped in favor of a sort of jump/pant-suit uniform. It may have had sometihng to do with the female cast members (particularly Marina Sirtis [Deanna Troi]) calling the shorter uniforms the "cheerleaders in space" look...

For those of you not familiar with Uhura, enjoy:
