Can't say i give a crap if he shoots skeet or not, though I would be surprised if he knew which end of the bangstick projectiles and loud noise comes out of. Being part of the gun community (hard not to in Utah), you can usually spot someone who doesn't know what their talking about very quickly. The instant i hear, "bullets" and "Clips", my BS alarm goes off.

Yeah and this sudden penchant for skeet shooting is such an obvious lie that somebody should call him on it. Meaningless or not you know that the media would have been all over it if a Republican had told a similar whopper.

Oh, the press? While they don't always live up to it, the press are the best watchdogs over government dealings. They really do represent us, when they do the job right. An official can't go around showing his documentation to everyone who asks, so he shows it to the elected or appointed authorities. When the people demand proof, he shows it to the press.

Also, in case you didn't know, I'm not even remotely a Birther. I cheerfully ignored all the hubbub, and when Obama did come up with a birth certificate I said "Well. There you go."

I assume that there must be some federal law somewhere that further specifies how a candidate proves their eligibility for office.

Well maybe they are and maybe they aren't but either way Obama's not currently attempting to ban people from having kids.

But imagine if he was actually trying to ban people from having or adopting certain types of kids (stupid "what if" I know) then claimed to understand parent's anxiety over his proposals because he had some kids himself that nobody had ever saw or heard of before. Think folks would be a bit skeptical?
