I am very, very sorry for your loss.

I lost my dad when I was 14 years old. He was my hero then, and now that I am 61+ years old he is still my hero.

It does get easier, but it takes time.
I still miss him, but I carry pride in knowing who and what he was.
Be proud of carrying on his name.

God Bless you. You are in my prayers.

My deepest condelences.

Losing loved ones in unexpected catastrophic accidents suck, I know how it is and I am sad for you.

May you find peace. Not being insensitive but the dead already have peace, it is up to the living to find it, which is the real trial. Good luck, and godspeed to you and your family.

I never quite know how to reply to threads like these. There is nothing that anyone can say that will ease the pain that you now feel at the loss of one you so loved. Nonetheless, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

This is true. No matter how sincerely you wish your condolences to someone, it comes across as trite.

I do mean them sincerely, though. Just know that your father has given the wonderful gift of life to someone else and in that his last act is something that some other family will never forget.

Wow...... This thread hit me like a ton of bricks. It got me thinking "if I was in your position...." and I just want to give my condolences and that I'm sure that the world lost a great soul.

Hopefully you all meet together in your religion's version of heaven someday.

Once again, sorry for your loss.

May his soul find shelter in the hands of the Creator, and may your family find comfort in the joys he brought to your lives.
