Maybe Redbrow is from Haganah Watch ?
![]() Apart from that Germany is not so happy that the Gaza government buildings have been destroyed, after they have financed the building of the same in the last years. Apart from that Mr Red Brow (in austrian language): 'Geh scheissen' Thanks, Catfish |

That's ok. I'll be nice. At least nicer.
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2012/11...aeli-invasion/ "The White House says it believes Israel "has the right to defend itself" against attack and that the Israelis will make their own decisions about their "military tactics and operations." That's nice. Other nations will be glad to hear this. Except for all the victims and their families this whole episode may come off as a kind of fellowship of foes. Hamas will be reaffirmed in Gaza. Egypt will have made its political stand. Benjamin will show that he is more than just a stand up comic at the UN, the American politicos will have fresh standing with Israel, and the Israeli military industrial complex will have 'Iron Dome' to sell to many countries that will be interested. |

Not an Aussie Falcon but it had a 351 V8.You could kit bash a early 70's American Ford to look like a Aussie Falcon I recon as there are plenty of 351s around.
Aussie based GMs have not done well in the US look up the GTO sold in the 2000's in the US that was a Holden Morano re badged as a Pontiac it did not sell well. |

What little I saw was on CNN about Iron Dome, but it looked impressive.
What about the parts of the missile exploding in the air? would or could that hurt someone on the ground?

Most likely, yes. Shrapnel is always going to be a problem in any air war, it certainly was during the Blitz, and I don't think that's going to change any time soon. However, generally in an air raid people are indoors or in shelter, so the shrapnel shouldn't hurt them as (in theory) there shouldn't be much bigger than a foot falling out of the sky, it'll damage roofs and potentially hurt anyone out doors, but it's better than the missile hitting the ground.

Perhaps it is Iran that is in a hurry to stop Israel from striking their nuclear weapons grade producing sites first with money and arms to Hamas?
It is possible of course ... here's an almost four year old question along the same lines, which is kind of odd in talking about long range missiles. Confirmed: Hamas Wants To Use WMDs Against Israel, Trigger Full-Blown Regional War Quote:

Actually at the altitudes that a system like Iron Dome intercepts the shrapnel would have lost all of its velocity by the time it got near the ground so the small bits would be harmless kind of like getting rained on by bird shot that has lost its velocity and dropped.
The larger parts of the intercepted missile they could be dangerous if they had enough weight. It is much preferable to have a few 50 or 60 pound hunks of rocket fall form the sky than a complete missile with a large amount of explosives in it. The US paid for 8 Iron Domes for Israel totaling 400,000 million dollars.Iron Dome is designed to work against certain types of short range roackets and even 155mm shells I dont think it can handle a true ballistic missile though. Against a MIRV it would not be effective the MIRV would be far too fast so most likely would a SCUD missile. You'd need a Patriot missile battery(MIM-104F (PAC-3) at least for that the IDF also has these.Just the Patriot missile alone costs 3 million bucks compared to the 50 million price tag of an entire Iron Dome battery.Of course Iron Dome deals with smaller threats that don't warrant the use of a PAC-3 Patriot missile. Two different systems two different threats. |
