GO Israel......Iron Dome

Israel rocks and Iron Dome will sell. More succinct.

And my fearless leaders still love Israel (by hook or by crook) as both houses of Congress still support Israel. Globalism with out the USA is a dead issue. The USA supports Israel, and so, Globalism and Zionism still MESH. No USA, no Globalism. Globalism is USA and USA is Globalism. Zionism supported by USA, USA not supported by Zionism, but is rather acknowledged. Congressmen supported by Zionism. GO ISRAEL!

Congress goes for the butter on the toast. That is how it has been done since burnt brick stacked up into cities.

Israel is currently exercising its right to protect itself as can any other nation in a similar situation.

I did wonder how Iron Dome would hold up in a real missile scenario. I guess this is the warm up exercise before the Iran job. Seems to be doing a good job so far, and they have the old Patriot system as back up, and IIRC it will intercept at higher altitudes than Iron Dome, so if Iranian MRBMs come in then Patriot can have a shot at them.
But for what it was designed for, intercepting rockets from Gaza, it's been doing very well. Back in March when the last barrage of rockets came over from Gaza Iron Dome got 56 kills out of 71 attempts. That's a good kill ratio.
It's also smart that it calculates the ballistic arc of a weapon and then ignores missiles that aren't going to hit populated areas so it doesn't suffer target overload.
It's an impressive system, kudos to the Israeli and American designers. :yep:

Rgr that....the system is fairing up very well and must be building confidence in government circles around its potential capabilities should a more serious threat arise.

I wonder how the budget will hold up at 35 grand a shot?

It's probably cheaper to fire 35 grand than repair the damage of the missile hitting the target, and the political damage of people getting killed.
