Australian Internet filtering policy dumped

As all the candidates proclaim how GREAT they are at business?
Why don't they fall under my business commitments?

If I undertake a contract and I lose money?
Guess who eats that lose?

We should add that to the constitution!
Call it the "You promised profit and got the weeny up the arse" amendment!

I'll bet the BS would stop REAL quick!

I know this.
No real Businessman would ever run for a Govt position unless he can make more money then if he did an honest days work.
When is the last time a poor guy ran for a so called 'High Office'?
Your talking millions gambled to lose!
I'd as soon see all of them hanged by the neck till dead, dead, DEAD!!
For every bad decision they push through!

5 years and millions of dollars wasted by conjob and co ,they were told right at the start it wouldn't work but stupid decided to go ahead any way!
Unfortunately our Luddite mis-communications minister keeps his job after this

Had a though yesterday when this was announced ,it's a federal election next year and the labor party looks like it's going to have the kind of lose that will keep them in opposition for the next decade ,made me wonder if their trying to get the techie/geek vote by staking this thing and finally giving us an R18+ category for games....

Being politicians they'll do just about anything to try to stay in office. I wouldn't cross the street to pi$$ on this lot if they were on fire. Not that having the Mad Monk as PM would be any better. He's more tied to the Christian lobby groups that No God Dullard.

The fundamental thing is that most of these bastages don't have a clue when it comes to technology, how it works or how to control it. Control being their end goal in everything they do, if someone tells them they could be in control if they do X, then they'll try it.

,(For the non-Australians Jim Wallace and his Australian Christian lobby are Australia's version of religious nutbars like westboro ,he's been the loudest voice demanding this filter!).

Now we just need Nicola Roxon to drop this idea of mandatory two year storage of everyones personal internet and phone usage data.
