Welcome aboard stoney65! I'm originally from Indiana myself. If you just purchased the SH3 sim, it is most likely already patched to v1.4. You can tell by looking in the lower right corner of the main screen.

Thanks guys. As I say, I'm a COMPLETE noob in this, as such I will try not to be such a PIA with questions. I found the version I'm running, it is: v1.3, out of the box. So I figure the patch 1.4 would be the next obvious thing to do. NOPE, the install wizard says it can't find my SH4 install. I'm not one to quibble over such, I was just wondering if that has happened to anyone else. I'm having plenty of fun playing it as is though.

I think 1.3 might actually be 1.4, but await somebody else to confirm.

WELCOME ABOARD!

First, you don't need all the patches. Version 4 includes everything. Second, how new is your game? If it's 2008 or newer it's already fully patched. You can check by starting up the game. In the lower right-hand corner of the load screen it should say which version it is.

And yes, if it says 1.3 out of the box, it's fully patched to 1.4.
