Then that sentiment is the Trump's whole point I suppose. Why, is by doing so he is seen to cave to Trump playing the bully. Last I looked Trump still isn't in charge.

Five million dollars is very large amount of money. Not just any near-do-well could afford that kind of coin. After November 6th, regardless of outcome, Obama is immune to such tactics and frankly he doesn't strike me as a guy who would give a hoot about his successors.

Yes Trump is an *******, an increasingly ridiculous clown and everyone knows it. But

If I were OB i'd call his bluff. Give the big STFU to the political opposition by proving they were wrong all along (just in time for the election too) and get a real significant boost for some deserving charity. I'd make sure Trump can't claim it as a charitable gift either.

It might not change my vote but it would make me respect our President a lot more.

My guess is that it's an obvious bait. First of all, let me say that I care very little
about US politics. Hell, to this day, I dont know whether Obama is a democrat or a republican.

But I try to see what I'd do in that situation, and what Obama is doing with
not bending over is what I'd do. So much **** has been thrown at him that has
been proven to be false, that I'd just ignore it all. Even if he'd release the reports,
the people who dont like Obama would just come up with something else.

Much like Bush and 9/11. The Gov could've released much more than they did,
but it wasnt necessary. We (the public) have a good understanding of what
happened. The loud-mouths want more proof, give it to them and they make up
more allegations and ask for more proof. So, what's the point for "feeding the trolls".

Well in this case it would be the troll who was doing the feeding, to the tune of 5 million bucks.

Yes it is a stunt, but Trump is betting that he won't have to pay up because Obama won't take the deal. However it's going to become public knowledge some day anyways even if just in history books so I fail to see the harm in Obama calling his bluff.

I don't let spoiled brats dictate what I do and ignoring them is the last thing they want. If Trump's offer is taken up, the brat wins by getting attention he doesn't rate. If ignored Obama maintains the high ground.

5 million is a really small tip in the world of people like Trump. He's a bloody billionaire, after all. Why doesn't he show real committment to his belief he is right and put up, say, 50 million?
