I have the $1 version bought today, tried the patcher and ran into an error, something like the patching was expecting something in the file and it didn't quite match (bare with me, I'm not a software engineer), so I don't think you can patch this version.

Did you ensure it was first patched to v1.2 with ubi's patcher?

If it is patched to latest take a screenshot of the error the patcher app displays as I'm curious to see why (probably because they are using the Steam version!)

OK, my bad.
In my naivety I never bothered to check the game version because I assumed Uplay would patch the game automatically (like it did with From Dust bought a day earlier), but it didn't. After updating to 1.2 the patcher works fine.

Now if only I could find a way to invert the blasted y mouse axis...

So your patches do work with the uplay download version then ? as on sober mod list it says your need dvd version of game ?

DVD-version means not steam-version..
