I'm trying them all from 3 onwards.. but version SH3 kept crashing endlessly..

The first thing that really bothers me is the radar in SH4. It's really ghastly and hurts my eyes to even look at let alone try to use.

This is what I have: an inaccurate ugly eye sore of a blobby mess of molten red lava that's impossible to read and impossible to use with no bearing gauge either

This is what I would like: Nice and clear.. sharp and very readable.

Anyone know of a decent radar mod please...

The green screen that''s meant to give me an indication of the range to target is even worse.. How on earth can Ubisoft release a game with such crap instrumentation?? I had to to complete 3 long hard missions
to earn the right to 'buy' this piece of low tech junk... Link to radar mod greatly appreciated..

Well, are you asking for a sh3 or sh4 mod? Did you try the download sections? How about a google search?

Also, I'm guessing that those displays are pretty close to historically correct. If I'm wrong, post up some pics of accurate radar scopes for each make and model, start a request thread I the applicable mods section, and I'd be pretty sure somebody would be willing to try and make one.

That may not even be moddable, as it could be hard coded.

Do you mean that these radars are historically accurate in that they are blurred beyond recognition?.. and that the bearing gauges and range scale read out is so out of focus as to be not readable at all? Hmm..

I'm referring to SH4 of course. Been looking all over Google with no luck.

Look at this guys radar..

And look it these:

It was once discussed and resolved on this very forum but the add-on links are no longer available..

It was once here but the download links are no longer active sadly. I fine combed through all 22 pages of this thread but not a single valid link.
