Two questions regarding SH4 1.5 from a new guy

I have never gotten anything from Steam, but I can tell you the disc versions allow offline play. I have never played SH 4 online, in fact.

I'd like to try vanilla game with improved AI only.

I wanted to try the game in it's vanilla flavor when I first started. It didn't take me long to realise that was a mistake. I understand you might like to see what it's like; just don't expect too much.
