I'd always thought the Atlas was just a sonar/hydrophone unit pointed straight down, which I'd think was still detectable by anyone with a hydrophone and at least one good ear. More experienced boat commanders tell me that, at least with the GWX package, it's not so. One of these days I've still gotta wipe the drive on my Trojan-infected machine and start fresh. My kinda slow craptop machine *does* have GWX running, but things are so slow it's hard to tell....kinda like playing Eve on dial-up ![]() Dunno if that helped, but since I've posed that same question, I thought maybe my exchanges would save you some time and wondering.
