Default Alarm bell and teleporting question

During some dive drills yesterday, I observed that the alarm bell is shouting not only during crash dives, but also during other dive commands such as periscope depth and the regular dive (key D). I happens both when using the keyboard commands or the icons on the lower left of the screen.

I don't know if that is historical correct. I thought that the bell was only used during crash dives.

I suspect that the MightyFine Crew Mod 1.2.1 is responsible for it. Is there a way to change that?

Another thing is, that teleporting still occurs. I disabled teleporting for crash dives in the "TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py" file. I set the flag to False and the station to which should be teleported to None. However I'm still teleported. I'm using the Deutschmod 1.0.2 with the TDW UI's but changed the values in both option files, the ones of the original UI's mod and the DeutschMod.

I was even teleported to the periscope after ordering to dive to periscope depth. I'm not sure, if this is also caused by the TDW UI's. I would really like to get rid of the teleporting.

If you set teleport to station to None then you won't teleport. Sounds like something is overwriting my options file and/or .py files. With all your mods activated can you send me your options file from Silent Hunter 5\data\Scripts\Menu? I want the one from the game folder, not the mod folder as this is the one being used by the game.

I de- and reinstalled all mods yesterday and made sure that the correct values are set in the option files. It seems to work now. No teleporting yesterday. But thanks for your help.

The only issue now is that the Mighty Fine Crew crash dive script does not start. Probably because I installed the More Crew Commands Dialog mod and it's overwriting something of MFC. But that's another topic.

Anyway, I'm making progress in tuning SH5 to suit me.

The Mighty Fine crew mod is the issue. I have it installed as well and I get the crash dive bell during normal dives. I am uncertain how to resolve that. I suspect that the mod order may have something to do with it as I did not experience this when I first installed the mod.

EDIT: I toyed with the mod order and that did not resolve the issue.

I think you're probably right. I suspect that the bell served the same function as the American klaxon - to warn the crew that the boat was about to dive. Not just crash dives, but all dives.
