I suspect that there are about 3,000 legal challenges to SOPA already on their 3rd or 4th drafts. Sure hope I can get me a piece of that action before the SCOTUS finally sends this thing to the dust bin.

You assume that they do not have corporate interests in mind.

The Citizens United Decicion shows otherwise.

Its a simulation of what would happen if SOPA passed.

There is a way to get around wikipedia's blackout if you aren't using Internet Exploder but I'm not going to post that here, people need to be informed about what's at stake with that bill.

Huh? There was an article in the news about Wikipedia's blackout today, but when I try it, it works just fine for me. I feel left out.

Try refreshing? Or are you using a non-English version of wiki?

Russian wiki works just fine for example, although has a big banner about SOPA at the top.

Nope, it's English Wikipedia and refreshing makes no difference. Funny. It even says on the main page's banner that the Wikipedia is locked due to the SOPA/PIPA Blackout, but all the articles show up just fine.

Does your browser block javascript? If you're blocking scripts, wikipedia will work normally, from what I understand.

I have javascript enabled and en.wikipedia works just fine. It's got something to do with temporary CSS layer that is blocking the article. Using Opera with author CSS disabled shows the article.

I had to put NoScript on Firefix to "Allow all on this page" mode before it got blocked: just "Allow Javascript" didn't do the trick.
