No. Some mods rename it, or make it a blank file, but no switch or key. HW3's suggestion is a good one if you think you might want to use it again, but deleting it has no effect on the rest of the game. It's not going to crash just because that file's gone.

As I have recently found out, for all its problems and bugs, the game is remarkably stable when dealing with corrupt files..... sigh..... maybe not really playable (backwards turm anyone?)... but stable....
