Re Silent Hunter 3

Hi all.

It's been a long time since I made any movies, because I was unable to access my account at YouTube. But, now I can so I'll have to learn all over again how to play the game. One thing I cannot remember is how to get rid of the orange directional circle when I dive my sub. Can anyone help me please.

Thanks.

SH3/Data/Misc/Umark. Just delete it.

Isn't there a key-stroke to turn it on and off?

I do not remember there being one. You can always rename the Umark when you want to make a movie, then change it back when you want it to show again.

No. Some mods rename it, or make it a blank file, but no switch or key. HW3's suggestion is a good one if you think you might want to use it again, but deleting it has no effect on the rest of the game. It's not going to crash just because that file's gone. :sunny:

As I have recently found out, for all its problems and bugs, the game is remarkably stable when dealing with corrupt files..... sigh..... maybe not really playable (backwards turm anyone?)... but stable....

Thanks everyone.
I found out how I did it.

I thought there was a key stroke to turn it off and that's Ctrl+NumDel. Or is that only in SH4?

Must be, as I know of none in 3

I don't know what "NumDel" - I don't have such a key on my keyboard

Oh, I remember now - While holding down the Ctrl, press the delete on the number pad. :DL

That works too? I turn on NumLock, then the Del key works without Ctrl.
