Default DF Anntenna/Control-up/down

I would like to offer a bit of help here if I'm capable. In my never ending quest to tweak the game to perfection I have my latest peeve, to assign an up and down control (much like the one in SH3) for the DF antenna. I tried to read as much as possible on the DF Antenna but I didn't find out anything other than it is pretty much automatic.
First I need to know if it's possible without screwing things up bad. Next, I need to know which file to adjust.
I do have the keyboard mapper/ changer thing, but I'm not going to use it yet until I'm sure where I'm going (and if) to apply any changes to the heyboard.
What do you think, I would really like to decide where and when that antenna is up.

PS; Does anyone know this; If I have TDW's UI mod, IRAI, Dynamic Env, FX. Do I still need Steel Vikings Interior mod???

TDW's 'FX_Update' mod makes it work automatically.

It even spins around looking for signals!

Just can't look at my sub the same without it.

Cheers TDW!

His point was that with Anvart's mods in SH3 you could control it yourself, having it down or up at your choosing. Same with the flags.

Yeah, I guess the game was set up much differently. In fact, (I think I'm right about this) that antenna (direction finder) is working. I got a message that my sub was spotted close to my present coordinates, a few minutes later the ship shows up on my nav-map which we intercepted of course. It took me a-while to realise that the DF antenna was being used by my radio man to actually find ships in our area sending messages then pinpointing their position. The antenna isn't driving me nuts by any means, there are just times when I'd like to have it down during a surface attack. In SH3 I could hit the hotkey to put it down.
As far as TDW goes, I meant in my post by helping, that I could possibly try and alter the command to make it manual.
Anyway, it's all good!!

The StateMachineController class doesn't work like it does in SH3. This prevents many neat and cool things from happening/being made...
