He is counting the consolation bracket as the playoffs so 8 teams total will make the playoffs.

CaptainHaplo is right.
The winner of GM vs EVG will be in the championship bracket.
The loser of that game, Black Cats and Guns of Hochuli will vie for the fourth spot. (Cats and Guns need to win since 4 teams have 8 or more wins already)

The consolation bracket is wide open in that if Nutchruncher loses this week one team with 5 wins will make it in. If he wins the last spot goes to him.
