This is completly, completly incredible!
It looks awesome and it runs with 80 fps+ steady. This definitly saved SH5 for me! Thank you! |

Hi!
By the way, flickering is gone with the new camera file. Great! And the wet mod for the boat looks awesome. Actually, I now have even enough frames to re-visit TDWs FX mod ![]() I think for the frames the renderahead value did the trick. It seems to be logical that it gets slow if I limit the GPU to only 1 frame. I now sometimes see more than 100 frames with much better looks. Thanks again! What is not gone is the stuttering now and then. It feels like loading textures or something (I have an SSD-Drive). But that is actually not that bad, because it is gone much faster now (I mean, the breaks are shorter). I still wonder what is causing this, though... |

Thank you, I'll give it a shot tonight (when I am back at my gaming pc). Although I have to say that I already have smaller waterdrops... Maybe your mod was already included in one of the other mods I use...
But I'll try anyway. Probably it was an older version. Thanks! |

If you want to get rid of the bow spray to increase fps go to
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Shaders\Particles Comment out the folder to read ;Particles |

It might be texture loading as it is very often after the game was started and gets less later on (my feeling that is). I still give sobers drops a shot...
I am not using TDWs FX mod yet... maybe I'll try tonight (if there is no incompatibility between FX and Wet Hull). @Sober: I can't complain about low frames at the moment. Really can't believe myself writing this, but I have an average of 60, very often 80+ and sometimes 100+ (depends). I like the spray ![]() I have changed the AA to be handled by the game (not the driver), changed the pre-rendered frames value (AntiLag) to 3 (from 1)... and that did the trick. I was wondering all the time why my machine could not get more fps than 20-25. EDIT: I have checked several videos on youtube of SH5 and most (if not all) also show this stuttering... So I guess it is game related and there might be not too much to do about it... ![]() Thx! Last edited by Meldric; 08-18-11 at 09:35 AM. |
