Help !!!!! I'm running out of diesel fuel !!!!!

U-boat.net gives a range of 8700 nautical miles with 10 knots for type VIIb I'm currently commanding. That's about 16100 Km's and the game gives me a range of about 16500 Km's when going 1/3 (appr. 10 knots). That is hardly "WAAAAYYY WRONG"

It's 35 - 40 days pure cruising + all other delays with submerged, waiting for better weather etc. patrols can last up to six weeks. But I keep 8 weeks (at least that's what Heinz Schäffer wrote in his book U-977) as maximum "normal" limit because I like to think that there ain't much to eat for the crew

That`s why you guys gotta travel everywhere at 1/3 speed!
Ordering only full speed and flank speed during an engagement.
I know its slow, but you get the best range!

EDIT: only time I'm using maximum optimal speed is when I'm racing back to home base after using all eels and don't have to worry about diesel consumption any longer...
