I only saw a glimpse through periscope and it was coming straight towards me. Hard to identefy in that position.

Long mast and bearing from hydrophone operator is usually enough to go deep.

Hm could be a Flower corvette. But in my game they are pretty good at aiming.

Can one hear hedgehogs hitting water, like you can hear depth charges, in the hydrophone?

Perhaps it was out of depth charges? I'm not sure if there is a count of how many they can drop.
They will run out but, will continue to make passes until they lose contact with you. I'm not sure if that is the case here though.

Actually it could be. Some ships on the convoy were on fire. Göring's gay gang can't operate so close to Canada. Don't know if AI subs are depth charged.

But on the other hand, h.sie's wolfpack mod isn't released yet.

Chances are it was an escort that had either run out of cans or wasn't equipped/fitted with any in the first place.

Silent Hunter mystery. Why equip an escort with asdic but not depth charges?

Every commanders wet dream. Very lightly escorted convoy and with only three torpedoes it turns into a nightmare.

Could have decimated it with full load
