Default Noob back Again

Hi All
Yes I am back with probably a stupid question. I have started my career in 1939 now in 1940 I have compleated 11 patrols I patrol the given area for 24hours then go off to another area I cant seem to find an enemy ship. Am I doing something wrong.

Regards

Welcome back

I don't remember ever running into ships on the assigned patrol area. I sprnd my 24 hours there, then go hunting in the choke points or known rich areas.

Welcome back!

Have you checked the forum for other people having this problem?
Most common culprit is a mod you're running that only spawns ships in a specific area.

Other than that, I do recommend waiting a bit longer, then hitting up the straights of dover or some such area.

Longest I've gone without a contact was a month and a half in my assigned box (I think BDU hated me) But most times, I run out of torpedos before that kind of time is up.

In GWX the patrol grids are usually grids where there is at least some traffic. Might take a long time to wait for the ships, so if you get bored, just feel free to hunt on greener pastures, like the Western Approaches.

Are you running GWX?

If so, then I have a good idea of what the problem is.

Sorry Marselas, I was making a cup of coffee.

GWX comes with two mods that could account for the missing traffic.

GWX - Indian Ocean Campaign Files Only
GWX - Black Sea Campaign Files Only

If you have enabled either of these it will have the effect of removing traffic from the entire world except in eithet the Indian Ocean, or Black Sea.

You haven't enabled either of these mods have you?
