I must say I find it hard to take the complaints of someone who kills himself by jumping off a roof and running straight at 2 enemies seriously.

Guess we'll see what's what when the thing is released.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Is Region Locked

Awww... well, no biggie I guess. Not going to have any effect on whether or not I'll buy it at any rate.

Believe I spent about 6 hours on the game today and got to about the point that the "Beta/demo/leak" ends when I decided I'd much rather be a stealth/hacker than an assault role and have decided to restart the game. I can't really say it bums me that much to have to replay those 6 hours.

Well I know now who I get my Reviews from.

As of lately I'm having trouble using my left hand to operate WASD and mapping Keypad and having mouse in left in even worse for using mouse Action.

That's why I'm going slow in SH5. That's why the questions in SH5 and spend a lot of time Reading things there. And finding things maybe I can adapt and use.

I only have Crysis WarHead, Hitman, and Company of Hero's "Black Ops" ???

As my hobby is Sims, Subs, Flying and Raceing Only.

This is why I want to keep this Genre Small.

I have three minor complaints.

First: Level design
The levels are fantastic, many different ways to get through them, areas you'll miss if you don't pay attention, etc. But some areas seemed poorly planned, noticably the apartments in Detroit. It feels odd that the only entrance into some apartments is through the fire escape, no ground entrances whatsoever. It just ruins the atmosphere, atleast blocked entrances would make more sense. Also one of the subwuest requires you to talk to a security guard of an apartment building, inside said building is only one apartment, belonging to another side quest participant. Atleast doors you can't enter would be nice.

Second and Third pertain to combat and stealth which are intermixed.

First of all combat is hard. Really hard, this is no Call of Duty. Gunfights are fun, but you'll realize quite quickly that you're outgunned. The only way you stand a chance is to take headshots, change your cover often or outright avoid gun battles. This isnt a bad thing but it feels like it's trying to force you into stealth. For a game about playing your way it seems like it forces down your throat that stealth is the best option. Stealth gives you the most xp and if you mix in hacking, the most background story. Now these aren't major problems and they don't ruin the game at all. So if you liked the first game I recommend this one.

It's called tactics, and yes I'm pretty sure that's forced on you.

Except for the fact you get more XP for not being detected and for not setting of an alarm.

Hardly forcing your hand. But yes, more difficult so higher reward.

Bottom line is this game is good. Maybe not Great, not ground breaking. But its a damn good game. I completely enjoy it, story, gameplay, etc. Its like a fallout/Mass Effect/Metal Gear hybrid, bastard child.

Its def up there with top games of the year... but I think we all know the best game of the year will probably end up being Skyrim.... since well duh.

That being said the only other title that will scratch this itch will the new Batman which I think will be better then Deus Ex... but that doesn't mean Deus Ex isn't probably in the top five of the year- at least console wise.

Fine game indeed.

Any way to sell of store equipment? They dumped all kinds of crap on me at the start of first mission and inventory filled up not long after. Need to get rid of some stuff but just dumping it on the ground somewhere seems weird.

Deus Ex is good, very good. It wont blow your mind like the first one. It's way better then the second one. And I'm enjoying the story, and am doing a hybrid stealth/shoot them all approach. Lots of fun
