Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Having given up on Deus Ex 1 and never trying #2, I can't say I'm a fan of the game(although I would like to replay 1 and try 2, I wonder if they work on Windows 7). But after watching this trailer:

I have to say I have an eye out for this game. If anything It'd make a good movie. :haha:

It ain't Deus Ex but its still a good game...

People though will still say Deus ex is the greatest game of all time. It was great but wasn't that great! After playing it again a few months back i thought it was quite crap to be honest. Didn't even bother to finish it.

Here's hoping Deus ex 3 will be "the greatest game of all time"! :)

Don't bother with it. It was pretty horrible compared to DE1. :nope:

I'm actually playing through DE1 at the moment. And it is indeed, if not the greatest, one of the greatest games of all time.

Soooo can't wait for 3. Hope they don't screw it up.

Ducimus 06-08-10 09:33 PM

Sounds like i didn't miss much with DE2.

edit:
Wow, DE1 is showing its age:

I haven't played that in YEARS, but its odd how i remember thinking the graphics were top notch. Watching that vid, all the sounds i remember from the back ground music to the charging of the cattleprod to the drop of a crate. I guess i played it ALOT back in the day. lol

Happy 10th anniversary Deus Ex!

Your First Look at Deus Ex Gameplay

Sweet. :yeah:

Think I spotted from FPS drops, but judging from the bit of gameplay it's the 360 version. :hmmm:

Sweet stuff indeed:yep:

Damnit Archlight. I had found this footage on gametrailers, and was meaning to post it, but ended up forgetting and posting in the Mafia 2 topic. But you beat me to it. :haha:

Although Here is the HD footage.

I for one did not notice any frame rate dips.

I wonder if the Triangle in the name means the ps3 version will be better than the 360 version. :hmmm: Too many developers make ****ty ports of games for the Ps3. Like Mafia 2 which for some reason is missing 3d grass in the ps3 version. It's not that the ps3 can't handle it, just look at Uncharted 2, MGS4, and God Of war 3. Anyways I'll end this rant.

Well, I'd say together we're doing a reasonable job of keeping this lot informed. And we use different sources, so you get a more complete picture. :yep:

Maybe it's dropped frames in the video instead of FPS drops, maybe to keep video in sync with audio. :hmmm:

I hear ya on PS3... as far as I'm concerned, it's the more capable of the 2 (360 vs ps3). But it's more difficult to develop for, and Xbox is prety close to PC. In the end it's easier to make it for 360, do a relatively easy port to PC and then a more costly one to PS3. As a result, the PC version suffers in the performance (unoptimized) and the PS3 is missing stuff that would take too much effort to port, sometimes worse performance as well. Not always the case, but seems the general trend.

Which is annoying when developers say(especially 2k on Mafia 2) that they put just as much work into each one. I am just glad that more developers are starting to use the Ps3 for their main development(thanks to Sony releasing better tools to work with)

As a side note, one of the most irritating things about the 360 is the fact that Halo:Reach is the most anticipated game of 2010. I saw a comment on a Mafia 2 article in which someone said that Mafia 2 will be generic mainstream crap, and people shouldn't buy it or they'll encourage developers to make more. The very next line said that people should buy Halo:Reach instead. :har: I almost died from the irony.

Cool vid. Always was a fan of Deus.. :salute:

Yeah, it seems the gene pool is shrinking. :hmmm:

It's more like a gene kiddy pool nowadays. :DL
