My father used to home brew too and I helped both make and drink it. The biggest problem was the smell whilst the brew was cooking and all the cleaning up afterwards. Now that stays at the factory. FTW!

About 50L a brew. We got about 140 375ml bottles out of the last brew so it was around 52L. It's a lot cheaper than buying retail beer, even at the premium end of $192 per brew. I Australia you would pay around $6.60 per litre, for retail premuim hand crafted beers.

This way we pay around $3.60 per litre, for very similar quality beers. Splitting it 4 ways means we can brew pretty regularly without breaking the bank and get a variety in the brews we make and drink.

This!

Does the new hobby involve a Kiwi, a scouser (midget), 2 wallabies, rubber gloves, and hot, scented candles?

Yeah, it is a good thing you explained everything.

mhhh, beer...

Looks like a good way to waste your spare time!
They have a nice selection of beers there, I just wonder who would try to brew a Foster's - except for tourists

Only in Aussie-land they would start a business like that.

4 - 6 weeks another here mention that as well, they don't make brew ingredients like they use too - my brew concoctions would take 2 weeks (beer) and it was ready to drink it came with a kick that would make any homeless wino happy. 4 -5 wks if it was wine.

Ive been thinking over the last few weeks if I should go back to brew making, I have two adults living here and they drink. That's whats putting me off making it. There be booze ups on the weekends.
