Well if someone dies, then the quest becomes more difficult

To me it doesnt matter, I just want to get out of the monotony of building the city for a while. If someone travels the same path I took great, if they lose it and have fun trying to find it and find a new path, even better

Krauts, just take a supply of wool and wood with you. Make a bed each night, that way your spawn is always close to your stuff.

I did bring a bed, but I don't really plan on using it.. we'll see when I actually start in the Wild.. currently I'm at my jumping off point so I've got a bed and a chest with some torches in it... I might just leave my spawn there and then leave and explore from there.

I had this idea today, but its better to ask around before doing it.

A railway linking almost everybody, in a straight line, very fast, in order to quickly more from far away places. It would be above the ground, like y=100, or y=80, above mountains, so no problems with mobs. I did something similar in my single player game and its pretty good.

Then players can link their houses/places/cities to the main line, if they want.

So?

Yep, will be joining you lot in this wacky world of MC.

Going to make sure I find a place away from everyone so I don't accidentally infringe on anyone's space. Getting my bearings at the moment, and cant' wait to get building.

This game is stupid addicting lol

we prefer to go underground where possible as it prevents things from spoiling the view. Also diagonal tracking is a pain in the rear at the best of times.

FRAK! I forgot about the damn diagonal thing. You're right!

About the view, it wouldn't be much of a problem, it would be around cloud level, you would have to look way up.

Welp, I set up east of the spawn castle, in the snowy region. Coords roughly
x -121.39
y 65.62

There is a dirt spire/beacon that I put up temporarily so I can find my way back if the worst happens

We don't really use coords but I'm sure we'll end up finding your place. Its also easier just to make a bed (3 wool over 3 wood planks in the crafing menu) because if you die you'll just respawn there.

Cheers

Made myself a bed as soon as I had a proper house constructed. Currently making myself a "no creeper" exclusion zone around the property. Can't have the little buggers slinking around the place.

Reorganized the contents of some chests in City 19 storage, some stuff were in the wrong chests.

Edited the sign for the room where dirt is to Dirt/Gravel.

Had a rethink on the water gate at the marina, so will build a test version outside City19 at some point to test it out.
