I got the movie for the next 6 days one of those rent 5 old releases for $10 for 7 days deals. I'll probably watch it a couple more times before I take it back. Sometimes our video shop puts the odd video up for sale, might ask if he would sell 4 Lions.

TBH I'd never even heard of it until now....so on recommendations above one shall give it a go

Though I thought this mythical PC(no pun intended) crowd had ensured that such subjects were taboo and would never scoop awards at some "liberal" arty farty festival

I think the thing is that different groups have taken different things from the film believing that it espouses some view that they each hold.

The truth, though, which is very typically Chris Morris, is that it pretty much has a go at everyone. It's pretty much equally mocking of every group it portrays.

I haven't seen it myself yet, but it's on my definate to watch list. Chris Morris is a comedy genius, The Day Today was the best telly of the '90s.
